Unlike the traditional OTP (One Time Programmable) anti-fuse space-qualified FPGAs, the Aldec prototype adaptor uses flash-based, Microchip ProASIC®3E FPGA technology, for design prototype re-programmability.

Aldec’s ACT-H600-CQ208 adaptor board was designed to support the designs targeted RTAX250S/SL devices. Thanks to its compact size and full compatibility with RTAX’s powering system the adaptor board can be assembled directly in RTAX’s place without any additional changes on the target board.

ACT-H3Ki-CQ352
The power supply and footprint compatibility with the RTAX chip combined with the compact size are the main advantages of the ACT-H3Ki-CQ352 adaptor board. Besides the standard option of powering the adapter via CQ352 leads, this adapter can be also powered via power connector placed on board – this, combined with the programming by on board JTAG connector, gives additional possibility of standalone testing.

To meet the capacity of the biggest RTAX FPGAs ALDEC offers the solution consists of two boards stacked over one CQ352 footprint. Depends on the number of resources used in the customer’s design this solution allows the usage of the adaptor board in a single or dual-stacked configuration. Thanks to its compact size and the full compatibility with the RTAX’s powering system the adapter can be assembled directly in RTAX’s place and supplied via CQ352 leads placed on the bottom side of the MB.

The ACT-H3K-CG624 adaptor board was designed to support the RTAX devices in the CG624 package. With the A3PE3000 chip on board, the adaptor meets the capacity requirements for RTAX-S/SL up to 2000S. The BGA balls on the bottom side mimic the footprint of the CG624 package what allows to assembly of the adaptor directly on the target board in the RTAX chip’s place.
