VICOS – Visual Communication Systems GmbH was founded in January 2000. They are an experienced and have high competence in audiovisual systems and technologies. For such applications they specify, develop and market their own and customer specific products. Their focus is system level product design, where they typically go for solutions based on microelectronic (semiconductor) technology combined with embedded software. Business is organized in 3 divisions

Development Services audio and video application

VICOS GmbH specifies and implement complete systems based on customer requirements. This incorporate digital- and analog circuit design, development of algorithm and validation, FPGA- and ASIC design as well as hardware and software design for uController and digital signal processing. Complete project processing including PCB design production and test is another offering.

IP-Cores

Development of IP-Cores and evaluation- prototyping boards, particular for applications in the audiovisual market, like image processing, video and surveillance, medical image processing, consumer electronic, automotive, professional video- and movie technology.

Products

The APD division develops and produce modules and complete systems for the image acquisition, image transmission and image representation/image reproduction. The final products are compact/mini cameras, signal transmission systems, format converter and display controller.

VICOS services, IPs and products are in the targeted markets (automotive, consumer, semiconductor, professional video and surveillance) and are used by the leading companies.
