Thunder Link from Visual Communication Systems is a family of small form factor modules for formatting and converting generic digital video streams to standard compliant formats. Different cable types are supported from the transmitter side including DVI and HDMI cable, coaxial cable and UTP/STP cable.
The modules connect to the digital video interface of Sony’s FCB-H10 and FCB-H11 HDTV block camera and support 1080i/50Hz, 1080i/59,94Hz, 720p/50Hz and 720p/59.94Hz HDTV formats. As no analog to digital conversion is done on these modules, best image quality is guaranteed for the output signals.

Picture In Picture (PIP) Application Example.
For the TL6020 Module there is an optional PIP Feature. Camera 1 captures overview and camera 2 operates with optical zoom providing a detailed view on any region of interest. This example is based on the Sony FCB-H11 HDTV block camera.
